Some wounds live below language, in the body, in the nervous system, in the wordless territories where early experience settles. Reaching them sometimes requires something more than conventional talk.
We are in a genuine moment of possibility. Psychedelic experiences, when approached with ethical rigor, skilled preparation, appropriate clinical oversight, and thoughtful integration, can open important questions about healing, meaning, and change. The research is serious, and the evidence continues to develop.
Keith's certification as a Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Provider (PATP) through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute (IPI) and the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) does not stand alone. It is held within his M.Div. formation, his somatic and IFS-informed training, his lived knowledge as a U.S. Army veteran and survivor, and, critically, his capacity for genuine presence. This is not a technique. It is a relationship.
He also serves on the Advisory Board of the End of Life Psychedelic Care Associationworking at the intersection of dying, meaning, and the profound courage it takes to face what comes.

Preparation
The container for this work is built long before any medicine is present. Preparation sessions establish safety, set intention, address contraindications, and ensure that what arises in an expanded state has somewhere to land. This phase is not preliminary, it is the foundation.
The Experience
The medicine experience itself belongs within an appropriately qualified and legally compliant setting. Keith's role is preparation and integration support: helping clarify intentions beforehand and making space afterward for reflection, meaning-making, and grounded next steps.
Integration
A journey without integration is an experience without meaning. The weeks following a session are where the real work happens, making sense of what emerged, embedding insight into daily life, and ensuring that the opening the medicine created becomes a genuine turning point.

Not just clinical. Sacramental.
Psychedelic work often includes clinical considerations such as screening, dosing, and monitoring. Those responsibilities belong to appropriately licensed providers and legally compliant settings. Keith brings a different but complementary formation: an ordained Interfaith Minister who can hold preparation, integration, and spiritual meaning-making with respect for the traditions that recognize plant medicines as sacraments.
This is not a metaphor. It is a framing that can change how a person prepares for and reflects on an experience. When a medicine is held sacramentally,with intentionality, prayer, ritual acknowledgment, and a ministerial presence,what arises may have somewhere larger to land. Spiritual accompaniment can stand alongside, but does not replace, clinical care.
Keith was ordained at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in 2003 and holds an M.Div. from the New Seminary. He carries no single tradition's answers, drawing from Judeo-Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, Taoist, and contemplative streams, and holds whatever arises in the session within whichever spiritual language is native to the person in front of him.
